At Born to Adapt, there are three ways to get involved in our programming: through our annual events, partner races, and workshops.

We host annual events designed for the disabled community. These are events that we—Born to Adapt—put on, and they’re open to the public. You’ll see a few examples and upcoming ones below, like our annual Born to Adapt New Zealand event in February 2026.

We partner with established trail races to widen the field for adaptive athletes. If you are an (aspiring) adaptive athlete, keep an eye on our adaptive-friendly race partnerships, like the iconic Broken Arrow Skyrace, mammoth trailfest., and Desert Rats UTMB. Interested in the races but not racing? Come join us and cheer on those running. Are you a race director who wants to partner? Get in touch.

We host workshops, panel sessions, and speaking events to educate folks on creating safe and inclusive spaces for the disabled community. See our upcoming workshops and panels above.
